Gavilan College’s six-week Summer Session starts June 19 and students will have a wide variety of classes from which to choose. At the Hollister Briggs site at Fourth and San Benito streets, class offerings include History, English, Algebra, Computer Keyboarding, and English as a Second Language. There are also a wide variety of online classes, ranging from Accounting to Sociology, and everything in-between. Â
Students may also choose among the many courses offered in Gilroy, and other college locations.
“Summer is a great time to really concentrate on a specific subject, or to get a transferrable course or prerequisite out of the way” said Kathleen Moberg, vice president of Student Services. “A lot of university students like to get a required course or an elective completed — at a much lower cost, while they are on summer break.”
If they are not already enrolled at Gavilan College, students must submit an application prior to enrolling in classes, plus a few additional steps, which can be found at the Gavilan College website: www.gavilan.edu.
Classes are $46 per unit.
