The YMCA of San Benito and Graniterock are partnering up for a unique experience: the River Run 2019.
The Aug. 24 event will take participants through a working sand and gravel quarry and along the banks of the San Benito River. There are two options: a 1-mile Family Fun Run or a 5K Walk/Run.
The River Run 2019 begins with a 5K race at 7:45 a.m., with the Family Fun Run following at 8 a.m. A health expo and quarry open house are expected after the run.
Proceeds from the run will go to the YMCA of San Benito.
