Harvest Hope Festival moves to a new location this year. The event will be held Saturday Oct. 19 from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00P.M. and Sunday Oct. 20 from 10:00A.M. t0 4:00PM.,  at the San Benito County Historical Park.  The large community park entrance is just west of Bolado Park at  8300 Airline Highway and there is plenty of parking.

The family event will have hundreds of pumpkins, artisan pop-up shops, crafts, produce stand, fall decor, antiques and a BBQ lunch. Earnings will go to the American Cancer Society. Cathy Alameda,(pictured above) originated the fundraiser with her husband, Tony. She started the popular event after being diagnosed with breast cancer and recovering successfully nine years ago.

“We need to move to a new location so the event can grow and we can offer more activities,” said Alameda.  “We have raised over $150,000.00 for the battle against this disease but the battle continues,” Alameda said. More activities and local products are being organized with plans to expand the event over the next few years.
