HDA’s Certified Farmers’ Market open every Wednesday

It runs in downtown Hollister from May through September from 3-7:30 p.m.

The Hollister Downtown Association (HDA) invites the community to the Certified Farmers’ Market on San Benito Street between Fourth and Seventh streets each Wednesday, from now until Sept. 27.

This weekly downtown event features more than 90 vendors selling fresh produce, tasty prepared foods, flowers, organic and gluten-free selections, specialty baked goods, local olive oils and honey, sausages, fresh seafood, barbecue and more. Attendees will also find handcrafted items, information booths, live entertainment, and activities for children.

The HDA announces the return of Art Nights, featuring local art and culture on the first Wednesday of each month. Due to the state health law and the city ordinance, pets are not allowed at the market. For those who don’t want to leave their pet at home, Country Groomers on Fifth Street, is offering to pet sit for $5 per hour, while people shop at the market.

The market is sponsored by the San Benito Health Foundation.

Vendor applications for the market are still being accepted. Visit the HDA website to download an application or stop by the office at 514 Monterey St.

For information about sponsorship opportunities with the market, contact Jeana Arnold at HDA at 831-636-8406 or by email at [email protected]
