Maria Lynn Thomas of Community Food Bank accepted a check in the amount of $2,500 from Hollister Bank of America branch Manager Victor Carrillo and Assistant Manager Sara Torres this week.

Bank of America donated the funds to support the food bank's school backpack bag program, which provides kid-friendly breakfast and lunch supplies to San Benito County school children each week through the school year.  Bank of America and its staff are also enthusiastic participants in the annual Holiday Food and Fund drive, and the barrel in the lobby is already filling up fast.

The Community Food Bank's mission is, "We provide food, nutritional education and advocacy for our neighbors in need within San Benito County."
