After spending the past decade in a shopping center on Tres Pinos Road, near the Dollar Tree and Round Table Pizza, discount retailer Hi Outlet recently moved to the old Pennywise building on San Benito STreet, right next to Wells Fargo Bank, in the heart of downtown.
Owner Michelle Lee and her son, Andrew, said they are happy with the new location because they “want to bring more people into downtown.”
The grand opening of the Hi Outlet was on Dec. 20, which has been followed by a number of sales, including half off most items and shoes for $4.99. The store also offers of variety of items such as women’s and men’s clothing, children’s uniforms, jewelry, makeup, and much more.
The Hi Outlet’s former location, which years ago was an Alpha Beta and Nob Hill grocery store, will next be occupied by a Grocery Outlet store.
