Caltrans will perform a series of pavement repairs on a four-mile section of Highway 25 from the San Benito/Santa Clara County line to Shore Road starting Monday, May 21 through Thursday, May 24. Roadwork will include repairs to cracks and potholes on the roadway, according to a Caltrans press release.

Motorists can expect to encounter one-way reversing traffic control from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m, with traffic delays not to exceed 25 minutes to allow time for the hot asphalt to cool down. Motorists may detour the roadwork by using Highway 156 or Highway 152 to US Highway 101.

Paving is scheduled during daytime hours because cooler temperatures are not suitable for overnight work. Electronic message signs have been posted alerting motorists of the roadwork, which will be performed by the Caltrans Hollister Maintenance crew.

Caltrans reminds motorists to move over and slow down when driving through highway work zones.
