Hollister City Council Hears Highway 25 Renaming Report

Council Discusses CDBG Program and Grantees

The Hollister City Council convened Monday evening to recognize employee milestones, take position on legal claims against the city and acknowledge the work of public service agencies.

Issues slated for discussion include a public hearing about the CDBG Program authorizing the city manager to execute grant agreements for four activities with Food Bank of San Benito County, Jovenes de Antano and Youth Alliance. The Council will also review a resolution authorizing a letter of support for SBC 314 (Cannella) related to the relinquishment of Highway 25 in Hollister.

Oral reports include a staff report about a quarterly newsletter, ratification of appointments to the Airport Advisory and Parks and Recreation Commissions and an update on renaming Highway 25 to Pinnacles National Park Highway. A full agenda is available on the city's website.

The Hollister City Council meets at 6:30 p.m. on the first and third Mondays of each month in the chambers at City Hall, 375 Fifth Street, Hollister.
