HOLLISTER, CALIFORNIA – September 14, 2013– On September 14, 2013, the Facebook group, Hollister Community Watch (Hollister Police Department) held a Community Clean Up event in Hollister, targeting three areas of the community.
The areas targeted were Meridian Street, Airline Highway and Vista Park Hill. Approximately 20 cubic yards of garbage, weeds, cuttings and one couch was collected in the event.

The Hollister Police Department would like to thank the residents of Park Hill, Hollister Kidz Crew, Ausaymus 4H, members of The Homeless Coalition, members of the community, The Percival Family and Karson & Vanessa Klauer for their hard work today.

“This was a great event for the community; we cleaned up parts of two major roadways, started on Vista Park Hill. We all got a great work out today.
Collecting almost 20 cubic yards of refuse in under three hours is a big accomplishment. I’m very proud of our community effort today.”
