The Hollister MOMS Club held a bake sale in honor of one year-old Dominic Vega and his family in the ACE HARDWARE parking lot Friday, February 1st from 9am to 1pm.
“We raised more than $500,” said MOMS Club member Briana Sorci. “The family can use it for whatever they need, gas money, other travel expenses, or whatever. They’ve been driving to Stanford every day.”
Dominic has been at Stanford Hospital since December 31st being treated for Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), which causes infection of the lungs and breathing passages.
The MOMS Club is a lively place for San Benito County mothers looking for fun things to do with their children and to get involved in the community.
“I’ve been a member for just about a year, ” Sorci said. “But I know it’s been around a long time. We’re a really active group and part of a larger, national network.”
