HOLLISTER, CALIFORNIA – June 16, 2013– On June 14 500at about 9:15 pm, Hollister Police Officers arrested Daniel Silviano Cervantez (37) for theft and concealing evidence after Security at Johnny’s Bar observed the entire incident on video.
Officer Paddy responded to Johnny’s after security was alerted by the victim of the stolen wallet. Personnel at Johnny’s did a check of their surveillance system and observed the suspect remove the victim’s wallet from the bar (pictured). Once the suspect was identified on video, Johnny’s security detained the suspect until officers arrived. The victim’s wallet was located discarded in the trash can in the restroom of the bar by security.
The victim’s wallet was returned to him after the suspect was arrested.
Cervantez was booked into San Benito County Jail on charges of theft and evidence concealing.
