In November, Hollister police officers will participate in a fundraising campaign for a local youth organization as part of “No Shave November."
Participating officers will donate $50 to grow their facial hair for the month of November. The Hollister Police Officers Association voted to match each officer’s donation. Officers and employees not participating are also encouraged to contribute. Chief David Westrick has pledged $100 for this fundraiser.
The Hollister Police Officers Association will announce the local youth organization they have voted to support with this campaign in the coming days.
“I think anytime you have the opportunity to give back to this great and caring community, it is a win for everyone. We are proud to serve and support the residents of Hollister. I challenge our local public safety partners, government organizations, service clubs and local employers to join us in this worthy campaign.” said Westrick.
