For last the three years, Hollister Police Department has teamed up with Turning Wheels for Kids (TWFK) to help some of our local children in need receive a bicycle during the holidays. Turning Wheels for Kids provides thousands of bicycles throughout the bay area for this purpose. This relationship with Turning Wheels for Kids has resulted in 300+ local children in Hollister and San Benito County receiving new bicycles and helmets over the last three years.

As the program has grown, the needs have ground exponentially for Turning Wheels for Kids. This year Turning Wheels for Kids is in need of both monetary donations and /or donated silent auction / raffle items (needed by Dec. 1 at 5:00 p.m.).

Other needed items are:
1. New bicycles (unassembled or assembled, any size)
2. New bicycle helmets (any size)

Turning Wheels for Kids is teaming up with Hollister Police Department to receive auction items that they will be delivered to the silent auction site in San Jose on Dec. 2.

Hollister Police Department will begin accepting auction items the week of Nov. 20 in the lobby of HPD located at 395 Apollo Court, Hollister, CA during regular business hours.
