Founded in 1986, Hollister Pregnancy Center, a 501 c3, has been a solid and reliable resource in San Benito County for 31 years. The Hollister Pregnancy Center is a licensed medical clinic that exists to provide health services and education to equip individuals to make informed, life-affirming choices regarding pregnancy and sexual health.
All the services at HPC are 100 percent free of charge and include; pregnancy testing, limited obstetric ultrasound and STD testing, including HIV. To help mothers and families, it also provides, free of charge, material needs for children ages 0 to 2. These needs include; emergency diapers and formula, clothing, baby furniture, strollers and many other infant related items.
What makes Hollister Pregnancy Center unique is the staff and volunteers who dedicate their time and talents into the life of each client that walks through the door. Through the variety of services, each client is embraced where they are at and the compassionate staff gets to know them to help meet their needs.
Providing pregnancy outcome options is a priority and is the key to women making informed decisions about pregnancy, parenting and early prenatal care. One third of women whose pregnancies are unsupported or do not receive options education will choose abortion and for these women, the center offers post-abortion support groups and studies.
For fathers, we provide one-on-one mentoring and educational materials. This year, HPC is initiating “The Sixteen Project” to reach 100 youth and at-risk adults with free HIV testing. This project gives us an opportunity to meet a need in San Benito County while providing education and available resources to help meet their needs.
As each client is met, they soon become part of the HPC family and come back year after year as their children and families grow. Through San Benito GIVES, there is a campaign page on Razoo for the Hollister Pregnancy Center. Through the generous donations of our community, the goal to fund “The Sixteen Project” and a new ultrasound machine will help us achieve our, MISSION POSSIBLE!
