There is still time to register a team for the Hollister Relay for Life by attending the final team captain meeting on Thursday, July 13, at 6:30 p.m., in the banquet room at Paine's Restaurant in Hollister.
The annual event to raise funds for cancer research will kick off at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 28 at the Andy Hardin Football Field at San Benito High School. This will be the final time that the relay will be held at its current location, as a new football stadium is expected be built in time for the 2019 event.
Organizers are proposing to change our name to the "San Benito County Relay For Life," which will allow the name to more accurately reflect its presence throughout the county, and attendees at Thursday's meeting will have the chance to provide feedback on this name change.
