Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital appointed Kris Waller as the new Foundation Director, replacing Kathy Johnson, who recently retired. Waller has three years of experience with the HHMH Foundation, having held the position of senior foundation associate prior to her promotion.

Waller is a lifelong San Benito County resident and graduated from Gavilan College, majoring in journalism. She then went on to San Jose State University majoring in graphic design with a minor in advertising.

She has extensive business connections within the community. She owned and operated a graphic design firm, held the position of event coordinator with the Hollister Downtown Association and has been a longtime volunteer with the Kinship Center, where she has held numerous leadership roles in the organization.

“Kris is a welcome addition to our management team," said Ken Underwood, hospital CEO. "As the hospital continues to expand its programs and services; funding from individuals as well as grants from private foundations and government sources will be a key to our success. Kris has the relationships within the community and the expertise to help us continue to build our Foundation.”
