On Oct. 21, Hollister Police Department officers responded to a vehicle collision at about 11:58 p.m. on the 1400 block of Rancho Dr. in Hollister. "The car had collided into several parked cars in the area," stated a news release by the HPD.
The HPD report said that after arriving on the scene and locating the 17 year-old male juvenile driver sitting inside the car which had been involved in the collision, Officer Dave Anderson arrested him for driving under drug influence. The report stated the officers "recovered numerous ounces of marijuana along with concentrated cannabis wax. Additional evidence was discovered which was indicative of someone selling marijuana."
According to the report, the juvenile was booked into San Benito County Juvenile Hall for the following charges:
- Driving while under the influence of drugs
- Driving without a license
- Possession of marijuana for sale by a minor
- Transportation of over an ounce of marijuana by a minor
