The Latino Coalition of San Benito County proudly announces its 29th Annual Visionary Women’s Luncheon, an event established to recognize outstanding women who serve as role models through their dedication, leadership, and service to the community.

Since its inception, the Visionary Women’s Luncheon has raised more than $197,500 in scholarship funds for graduating seniors, helping local students pursue higher education.

The event continues to celebrate women whose commitment to community service inspires future generations while investing in the educational success of local youth.

Each year, community members gather to honor women who have made meaningful and lasting contributions through volunteerism, civic engagement, education, cultural preservation, and community leadership. Honorees are selected based on their dedication to improving the quality of life in their communities and their significant impact on others.

The 2026 Visionary Women’s Committee is proud to recognize three exceptional women whose lifelong service has enriched both our local communities and our state:

  • Ann Marie Sayers, respected Tribal Leader, for her leadership in preserving Native American culture, history, and traditions.
  • Lucy Rodriguez, who has inspired hundreds of local children through more than 50 years of teaching Folklórico dance and preserving Latino cultural heritage.
  • Rachel Perez, educator and President of the Gavilan College Board of Trustees, whose
leadership and dedication to education have strengthened opportunities for students and benefited communities throughout the region.

The luncheon will feature California State Treasurer Fiona Ma as the keynote speaker.
Serving as the event’s Honorary Chairperson is State Senator Anna M. Caballero, who previously represented the San Benito County region in the California State Senate.
