It is with profound sadness that the family of Alan Lee Thomas announce his peaceful passing on May 1, 2024, at the age of 73.  Alan was born on March 5, 1951, in Mansfield, Ohio, to Cliff and Eileen Thomas.  He is survived by his wife of 51 years Jacklyn Thomas, sons Blaine (Shelia) and Kyle, daughters Alicyn Cawley (Max) and Jade Jacobo (Danny), brothers Steve (Nancy) and Mitch Thomas, and sister Chris (Rick) Ward, grandchildren Taylor (Bailey) and Beau (Noelle) Krais, Isabella, Macyn, Oliver, and Quinn Cawley, Daniel, Lucca, and Drew Jacobo, and great grandchildren Emma Grace, Beau, Leo, and Valkyrie Krais, and Riley and Logan Krais.

Alan graduated from Sacred Heart School and Hollister High.  After high school Alan learned the flooring trade from his father Cliff and Dick Britt at Hollister Carpet and Linoleum.  Steve and Alan took over the business and his flooring career spanned over 50 years.

Alan was involved with coaching Little League from 1981 to 1996.  In 1987, Alan coached the Hollister All Star Little League team to the Northern California Champions/2nd place Western Regionals.  He repeated this success in 1990 as Northern California Champions.

Alan also served as a volunteer and director for the San Benito County Saddle Horse Association for almost 50 years.  He was a member of the Hollister Elks Club for 30 years.

Alan is proceeded in death by his parents Cliff and Eileen and sister Mary Kay (Richard) Novo.

The family would like to thank the Gilroy Health and Rehab Center and Redwood Hospice for their kindness, patience, and special care they gave to Alan.

A funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 11:00 am.
