Passed Away On: January 15, 2022

Alfred C. Villarreal Jr. (Freddie) passed away on January 15, 2022, at home in Hollister California.
Freddie was born September 25, 1959, in Watsonville, California. A retired Operating Engineer, he spent much of his youth in Blythe Ca. which he considered his hometown. He resided in Watsonville Ca. as a young adult and eventually settled in Hollister. A larger than life personality, charming and outgoing; he accumulated friends wherever he went. Firstborn of six children to Esther and Alfredo, who devoutly cared for him through this illness. Never alone through this battle, he had many family members continuously by his side.

Freddie was many things, the fun loving guy ready for a good time, surrounded by friends telling stories. Known for his skills in the kitchen, the tamale maker of the family, always trying to keep those traditions going and trying to instill them in his nieces and nephews. He had a broad range of interests and a love of learning. You could always discuss current events with him; he liked a good debate. He was very knowledgeable and loved Chicano culture and history, which he studied in college where he graduated with honors.

Freddie was very family oriented. His cousins were like his brothers and sisters. He kept those relationships alive through the years and over many miles, often making trips to spend time with them.
He had so much love and respect for his grandmothers, Nana Feliz and Wela Victoria, who influenced him so much.
The loves of his life were his nieces and nephews; Raquel, Natasha, Ismael Jr., Jacquelyn, Victoria, Julia, Alexia, Mateo, Sebastian, Elexis, Elijah, many of which he was Godfather to. His great nieces and nephews were an extension of that love. He took the time to know each and every one of them and they knew him. Uncle Freddie.

Left behind are his parents Alfredo and Esther, siblings Armando (Debbie), Adrian, Victoria (Rudy), Andrea (Tommy), Albert (Patty).

Safe travels on your next journey.

A celebration of life to take place at a later date.
