Charles Eugene Porter, 63 years old of Hollister California passed away on April 26, 2026 in Hollister following an eight-month battle with cancer.
Charles was born in Hollister on January 6, 1963, to Mary and Clifford Porter. Charles went to high school in Hollister and later attended Masters Institute in San Jose, California where he obtained and AA in Computer Science. He worked as a data analysist for Fragomen, an immigration law firm in Santa Clara, California for 18 years prior to his cancer diagnosis, eight months ago.
Charles enjoyed gardening (he had a green thumb), watching gourmet cooking shows and watching Si-Fi movies.
Charles is survived by his son Armondo (13), his siblings; Thelma Tricket-Porter, Carolyn Ramirez, Jim Porter and Bob Porter, and by his nieces Brittany Escanilla, Jade Porter and Cindy Home. And also, by his nephews Adam Porter and Joe Porter. He is preceded in death by his sibling Margaret Home and his nephew Jason Porter.
Services will be held at Lighthouse Apostolic Church, 1515 Santa Ana Road, Hollister at 5 p.m. on June 6, 2026. A celebration of life will follow and family and friends are welcome to join.
