Colleen Sue Thomas (Wilson) passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 30, 2025 in Salinas, California from complications related to heart disease. She was 85 years old. Colleen was born August 1, 1940 at her grandparents’ house in Tres Pinos, California. She lived in Tres Pinos until the 8th grade, before moving to Hollister, California.
Colleen was the self-proclaimed black sheep of the family. She was a single mother and professional forklift driver and heavy machine operator. She loved many things including football (or anything related to Joe Montana), making ornate quilted blankets and ostentatious bathrobes and cooking beef stroganoff for dinner with family.
Colleen is survived by her children Lance of Prunedale California, Shanda of Santa Ana, California, Donna of Kingman, Arizona and Shawn of Prunedale, California, as well as her grandchildren Taran, Jordan, Hailey and Drew. She is also survived by her sister Patricia and her brother Kenny. She was preceded in death by her mother Irene, father Leslie, sister Peggy, brothers Gene, Alan and John, and daughter Laurie.
Services will be held in a private celebration of life.
