Passed Away On: February 26, 2022
Donnie was born in Hollister, California, to Kathy Parra and Donnie Guttirez II (deceased).
He graduated from San Andres High School in 1985. He continued his education at Bay Valley Tech in San Jose, California, and graduated in 1988 with a degree in Tech Engineering.
After graduating from college, he began his career in the tech industry as a testing engineer. Donnie lived his whole life in Hollister and was raised by his mom and stepdad, Ed Parra.
In 1981 Donnie and Pebbles began their life together. Prior to being friends, they lived on the same street and Pebbles would walk past his house and he would say “I gotta have that girl.” He got his girl! They immediately started their lovely family. In 1982, Donnie Guttirez IV, his only son, was born. In 1983 his daughter Valerie Guttirez was born, and exactly one year later, in 1984, his second daughter Angelica Guttirez was born.
Over time their family expanded with the addition of grandkids. One of the most significant parts of Donnie’s life was his relationship with his three children and grandkids. He always encouraged them to move forward in life and never give up. Family was first priority to him and he always made it a point to attend every single function for his kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews, creating memories with them.
Donnie enjoyed family getaways and spending quality time with family; family was life to him. He was the life at family gatherings with his animated storytelling and remarkable sense of humor. Anyone who came across Donnie knew him as a hard working man. With a big heart, he was loving, funny, and very humble.
He liked dancing and enjoyed his back road cruises, listening to oldies with his Wife, Compa Mike and Comadre Punky. Donnie also had a passion for sports. He loved watching his favorite teams, the Dallas Cowboys and the Golden State Warriors with his wife. He had a passion for lowrider cars, and has been an active member of the Impalas Central Coast Car Club for 26 years.
Donnie is survived by his wife Pebbles Guttirez, his children Donnie Guttirez IV, Valerie Guttirez, Angelica Guttirez, and Danny Gonzales (son-in-law). His grandkids Cynthia Guttirez, Donnie Guttirez V, Delilah Gonzales, Danny Gonzales Jr., Elijah Gonzales, Izaiah Guttirez, and baby Girl to arrive in May. His mom Kathy Parra, Ed Parra (step dad), Brothers Joseph Parra, Jon Parra and sister Stephanie Vargas, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Donnie is preceded in death by his father Dionicio Guttirez II, grandmother Lupe Leon, grandpa Paul Leon, grandmother Mildred Luna, and Dionicio Guttirez Jr.
