The world is a better place for all who came into contact with Gail Ann Marie Swartz. Gail Passed away unexpectedly at 73 years of age in Graeagle California. on June 20, 2024, where she had been enjoying her retirement with her husband Jim Swartz. She was born April 15, 1951 in Hollister, California to Frank R. and Alice A. Martin (parents). She was a loving sister to Frank Jr. and Robert Martin (brothers). She attended Notre Dame High school in Salinas followed by a business skills trade school. She married her husband of nearly 53 years in August of 1971. She worked in the local cannery office for many years followed by her career at the United States Postal Service beginning in 1980 and retired after 30+ years as a City Letter carrier. Even in Retirement, she worked as a contract carrier for the Postal Service for another 10+ years on the only delivery route in Graeagle USPS customers benefited from exceptional service she performed on her routes. She made many lifelong friends while working and becoming a Christian in 1988 while attending church.
Over the years, she was raised in Hollister, lived in Brentwood, Ca for a few years then returning to Hollister until the retirement home she built with her husband took them to Graeagle, Ca. Gail enjoyed getting together with friends and family alike. She enjoyed shopping and dining with friends, but her happiest moments were the joy she had sharing time with and being a Great Aunt to Gia(vanna).
She is survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins. Also, James Swartz (husband) Kiley (niece),Corbin(nephew in-law)and Giavanna (great niece) Demaree ,Lauren (niece) and Anthony (nephew in-law) Sunseri, Gay (sister in-law) Kelso and Neil, Susan (sister in-law) and Mike Verissimo, Gene (brother in-law) and Ginger Swartz, Todd Swartz (brother in-law)and Francine Head (aunt in-law). She was predeceased by her mother Alice, father Frank, brothers Frankie and Robert, grandparents, many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She will be missed by many as she touched so many with her generous and loving spirit. She included everyone and hardly ever met a stranger.
