Passed Away On: March 3, 2020
James W. O’Connell, Jr- born on May 25, 1939 to James and Virginia O’Connell Sr., passed peacefully on March 3, 2020. He is survived by his brother Mike and his brother’s family, his children, his grandchildren, his great grandsons, nieces and nephews, cousins, and many wonderful friends. Jim was a straight forward, honest, hard- working cattle rancher all of his life and he loved his work. He performed in team roping events, showmanship events and more, in local rodeos. He loved being outdoors, riding, roping, branding, hunting, fishing…but, most of all he was happiest regaling stories of past “adventures” or “misadventures” that could keep your sides aching from laughter for hours. He will be greatly missed.
Services will be held Friday, March 27, 2020 from 4-7 p.m. at the Hollister Elk’s Lodge located at 351
Astro Drive, Hollister CA 95023.
