Jean Michelle Whalen, 60 years old from Hollister Ca passed away after a valiant battle with brain cancer.
All services will be kept private per her request.
Jean was a registered donor with the state of California, and her last wish was to be able to donate her brain to science in hopes that someday a cure for Glioblastoma Brain Cancer can be found.
She was a CNA for many years and loved that work. She had an amazingly sarcastic funny sense of humor and a beautiful singing voice. She left unforgettable impressions on everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her children Derrick Whalen (Jen) grandson Michael Whalen, Dawna Whalen (Kevin) granddaughter Casey Alba, Deana Whalen (Claudel), and grandson Makai Whalen, granddaughter Juniper Whalen. Parents Deana and Don Pidd, Sisters Virginia Whalen Alvarez Patricia Whalen Gonzalez, and Cindy Velho Alnas. Many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Mike and Jeanette Whalen and son Michael Whalen.
Our family would like to send their immense gratitude to all the special nurses, doctors, CNA’s, facility team workers, Bridge Home Health and Hospice and Theresa for all the care and support you gave Jean through her journey. A simple thank you just doesn’t seem like enough.
