Lidia Vázquez, 90, passed away on October 24, 2020.
On May 30, 1930, she was born to Jesús González and Esperanza Ochoa in Pajacuarán, Michoacán, México. She was one among nine siblings, Jesús, Roberto, Manuel, Esperanza, Arcelia, José, Teresa, and David. Lidia was one of the two remaining living members of her family.
She was raised in Pajacuarán, Michoacán, where she met her husband of 71 years, Salvador (1927-2020), and married him in 1949. Lidia came to the United States, after Salvador, and arrived in Los Angeles, California. Later, she moved to Hollister, California, where she worked at Tri-Valley Growers for over 15 years and spent the rest of her time as a faithful wife, mother, and home-maker.
She was loving, caring, and adored by all. She is survived by her ten children, Salvador Vázquez, Bertha Cervantes, Josefina Rodriguez, Esther Vázquez, Hector Vázquez, Chabela Ocampo, Felipe Vázquez, Fernando Vázquez, Rosa Vázquez, Mino Vázquez; 34 grandchildren, and 46 great-grandchildren. She will be missed forever in time and remain in our hearts.
A private viewing will be held on Monday, November 2, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. at Black-Cooper-Sander Funeral Home. The Mass will be on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Benedict Church with interment following at Calvary Cemetery
