January 28, 1965 – June 18, 2026

With broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, and friend, Michael A. Moisa Sr., who passed away on June 18, 2026, at the age of 61.

For the past 25 years, Mike called Hollister, California, home. More than anything, he was a family man. His greatest accomplishment in life was not found in his career or achievements, but in the family he loved so fiercely and the countless lives he touched with his playfulness, strength, and unwavering support.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Patsy Moisa, and his children, Letisha, Michael Jr., Marissa, and Amanda. He was a proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to 2 great-grandchildren. Nothing brought him more joy than being surrounded by his family. Whether it was a family gathering, a sporting event, or simply spending time together, those moments meant everything to him.

Mike dedicated 35 years of his life to the roofing industry. Through hard work, determination, and perseverance, he worked his way from the bottom to become a General Superintendent, a role he proudly held for 25 years. He believed in earning everything through dedication and effort, and he carried those values into every aspect of his life.

But if you knew Mike, you knew his true passion was coaching. He loved coaching his children when they were young, but his heart found an even greater joy in coaching and cheering on his grandchildren. He never missed an opportunity to support them, encourage them, and celebrate their accomplishments. Whether he was on the sidelines, in the stands, or offering advice after a game, he was always their biggest fan. To his grandchildren, he wasn’t just Grandpa, he was their coach, mentor, role model, and hero.

Anyone who knew Mike knew he could make people laugh. He was a true jokester, always ready with a funny comment, a playful prank, or a story that would leave everyone smiling. He had a gift for bringing laughter into any room and could brighten even the toughest days with his sense of humor. Whether he was teasing his family, joking with friends, or making his grandchildren laugh, Mike’s playful spirit was one of the many things people loved most about him. His laughter was contagious, and the joy he brought to others will never be forgotten.

Those who loved Mike also knew he could be incredibly stubborn. He stood firm in his beliefs, faced challenges head-on, and rarely backed down from anything life put in his path. What some saw as stubbornness became one of his greatest strengths during his battle with autoimmune disease and Alzheimer’s dementia. Through every setback, Mike met each day with determination, courage, and a refusal to let his circumstances define him. Even as these illnesses took so much from him, they never took away the strength of his spirit, the love he had for his family, or the determination that carried him through life’s toughest moments. His resilience was an inspiration to those who walked beside him on that journey, and it is a testament to the strength of character that defined the man he was.

The loss of Mike leaves an immeasurable void in our hearts. The world feels a little quieter without his voice, his laughter, and the countless jokes that kept everyone on their toes. Yet, we find comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on through his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the many people fortunate enough to know him. Mike had a way of making people smile, even during difficult times, and that gift will be remembered just as much as his strength, kindness, and devotion to his family.

Though our hearts ache with his absence, we are forever grateful for the love he gave, the lessons he taught, and the memories he leaves behind. We will miss him every day, but we will carry him with us in every family gathering, every game played, every laugh shared, and every act of kindness given in his honor.

Husband, Dad, Grandpa, and Mike, you were deeply loved, and you always will be. Thank you for being our rock, our coach, our protector, and our greatest supporter. Until we meet again, you will remain forever in our hearts.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever remembered.
