Our cherished baby boy, Nathaniel Vicente Ayala “Baby Nate”, given to us on April 22nd had his life ended too soon, on May 17th at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. Our family was not prepared to lose our precious baby boy so soon, but we are eternally grateful for the amount of time we were able to spend with him. Though Nate was with his family for only a brief moment, that’s all the time he needed to change the lives of those he touched forever.

Nate passed away in the arms of his parents after a long fought battle with chickenpox, something we never expected. Though Nate’s life was short, it was full to the brim with love, kisses, smiles, and many snuggles.

He is survived by his loving family, his parents, Daniel and Summer Ayala, brother, Benji, great grandmother, Josefa Paredes, great grandmother Alicia Villareal, great grandparents Selso and Barbara Ruiz, grandparents, Peter and Carmen Graves, grandmother Sylvia Ayala and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Daniel Ayala Sr. and uncle “Tio” Vicente Paredes.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital that fiercely cared for Nate while under their care. As well as his pediatrician Nicole Shelton of Hollister Pediatrics, Summer’s OBGYN Dr. Amin and all of the nurses at Hazel Hawkins Hospital that helped welcome Nate into the world.

Services will be held at Sunnyslope Christian Center in Hollister, California on May 23rd at 10:00 a.m., with a burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
