Ofelia Camacho, 85, of Hollister California passed away peacefully on October 14, 2022, in Hollister.
Ofelia (Puente) Camacho was born on April 7, 1937, in Veracruz Mexico to Martin and Barbarita Puente. As a young child, her family migrated to Weslaco, Texas where in 1958 she married her late husband, Rogelio Camacho. Ofelia and her husband moved to California in the mid-1960s where they raised 6 children together. Ofelia was an active member of Sacred Heart Parish where she served as a eucharistic minister and participated in church-related activities for several years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and her husband, Rogelio Camacho, and eldest child Jose Luis Camacho. Ofelia is survived by her children, children-in-law, and grandchildren; Maria Dodge (Daniel: Daniel Jr., Steven, Richard), Ernesto Camacho (Genevieve: Ernesto Jr., Bianca, Tristan), Anna Casas (Ricardo: Ricardo Jr., Sonia, Gabriel), Javier Camacho (Yesenia, Yvette, Isaiah), Rosa Camacho- Hernandez (Pedro: Mateo, Isaác, Elena). Also surviving are 9 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The recitation of the Rosary will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at 6:00 PM at Grunnagle- Ament-Nelson Funeral Home with visitation from 1:00-7:00 PM.
On Friday, November 4, 2022 family and friends will meet at Sacred Heart Church at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of the Resurrection. Inurnment will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022, at 12:00p.m. at Calvary Cemetery.
