NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a General Municipal Election will be held in the City of San Juan Bautista on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, for the following Officers:
City Council Member At-Large 4-year term
City Council Member At-Large 4-year term
City Council Member At-Large 4-year term
The nomination period for these offices begins on July 13, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. and closes on August 7, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
If nomination papers for an incumbent officer of the city are not filed by 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
August 7, 2026, the Nomination Period will be extended until Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
During this extended period, a person other than the incumbent may obtain and file
Nomination Papers for that office. This provision does not apply if there is no incumbent eligible for election.
If no one or only one person is nominated for an elective office, the appointment to the elective office is made as prescribed by 10229, Election Code of the State of California.
