Ralph Casas, age 75, passed away peacefully at his home on August 17, 2026.
Ralph was born on November 17, 1950 in Salinas, California. He was the youngest of eight children born to Elias and Francisca Casas. He attended schools in Healdsburg and graduated from San Benito High School in Hollister in 1969.
He worked very hard and dedicated 40 years to International Paper Company in Gilroy.
Ralph enjoyed watching his favorite football and baseball teams, the 49ers and Giants. He loved visiting local casinos and enjoyed fishing and camping. He treasured his trips to the Rib Cook-Off in Reno for almost 30 years straight.
He is survived by his wife Norina Casas, son Matt Casas (Veronica); step-sons, Frank Martinez (Anita) and Ruben Merino. Sisters Emily Casas Jacinto, Sally Stephenson, grandson Mathew Casas, and several step-grandchildren.
Viewing will be held September 11, 2026, at 10 am at Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Funeral Home, 870 San Benito Street, Hollister, CA. Followed by the rosary at 11 am.
Funeral Mass will be at Sacred Heart Church, 520 College Street, Hollister, CA. 95023 at 12:30 pm
Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, 1100 Hillcrest Road, Hollister, CA 95023 at 1:30 pm.
Celebration of life will be at Damm Vineyards, 3016 Cienega Rd, Hollister, CA 95023 proceeding the burial.
