Shawn Atencio was the owner and operator of Discount Ceramic Tile for over 35 years. At the young age of 17, he helped his father Steve Atencio. When Steve retired Shawn took over the business. Shawn was skilled in remodeling, new construction and some commercial buildings. Through the years he met many business associates and friends.
Shawn was an avid fisherman and hunter just like his father Steve. He took his tile crew to the Bay Area on many occasions. Later on in life he earned his California OTR license and became a professional truck driver. He loved seeing the many beautiful places he delivered to.
Shawn leaves behind his loving mother Eleanore Sutterfield, a longtime San Jaun Bautista resident, his father Steve Atencio of Antonito, Colorado, his brother Stevie (Kale) Atencio of Missouri, sister Deborah (Chris) Dini of San Jose, nephew Daniel Atencio of Hollister, daughters Malani Atencio of Nevada and Morgan Atencio of Sacramento. He also leaves behind numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, great-grand cousins and many friends.
