In Loving Memory of Tomas “Rocky” Corral
December 3, 1954 – May 22, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Tomas “Rocky” Corral on May 22, 2026, at the age of 71.
Born on December 3, 1954, in Santa Maria, California, to Daniel Corral Sr. and Minerva Corral, Rocky was raised in Hollister, California, where he developed the strength, character, and sense of community that would define his life. Rocky dedicated himself to a career of service, beginning his law enforcement career in 1975 as a reserve officer for the San Juan Bautista Police Department. Throughout the years, he continued serving others in various capacities and ultimately retired in 2024 from the County of Santa Cruz Homeless Persons’ Health Project as a Mental Health Client Specialist.
Rocky was known for his strength, resilience, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. He possessed a remarkable gift for speaking and connecting with others, offering wisdom, encouragement, and a listening ear whenever it was needed. His presence could command a room, but it was his kindness and genuine concern for others that left a lasting impression.
Above all, Rocky cherished his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, beloved son, caring brother, and proud grandfather. He also shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Gracie, whose companionship brought him great joy.
Rocky is survived by his loving wife, Kelly Corral; his children, Tomas A. Corral and Lauren Lopez; his grandchildren, Luke Lopez and Daniel V. Corral; his mother, Minerva Corral; and his sister, Teresa Galindo. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and colleagues whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
A memorial service celebrating Rocky’s life will be held:
Date and Time: Friday, June 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
Location: South Valley Community Church, 2350 Technology Pkwy D, Hollister, CA 95023
Though Rocky’s passing leaves an immeasurable void in our hearts, his legacy of strength, service, compassion, and love will live on in all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in our hearts.
“A life dedicated to serving others leaves a legacy that never fades.”
