Impalas and Classics Car Club held its 3rd annual Classic Cars and Annual Toy Drive on Sept.1 next to Campbell Auto Sales San Felipe Rd in Hollister with over 25 cars on display.
Donny Molina, who is part of the club, said 120 toys were collected and donated to Hollister Youth Alliance, a nonprofit that offers various programs for youth and parents. He said the car club collects toys and donates them to different charities such as the Red Cross and Salvation Army.
The organizations then distribute the toys for Christmas.
“We have dolls to Legos to anything people want to donate.” Molina said. “Any kind of unwrapped or new toy that people wanted to donate.”
Molina said the club members usually do the toy drive in August or September because of more favorable weather conditions compared to winter months.
