Detectives from the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office this week arrested Hollister resident and San Benito County EMS specialist Joseph Alvarado, 42, for the sexual assault of two male juveniles. These alleged assaults took place from 2002-2005.  He has been booked into the San Benito County Jail and is charged with multiple felony crimes. Alvarado on Monday was arraigned on 42 counts of various sexual assault charges.

The San Benito County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in this investigation by the District Attorney’s Office, the San Jose Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force and the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
