Grupo Folklórico “Carisma Mexicana” visited the Community Foundation for San Benito County office on Friday, July 13, to pick up their first-place ribbon and even gave a special performance of their winning dance. The group won first place in the drill and dance portion of the 2018 San Benito County Saddle Horse Show and Rodeo Parade. Winners of this event can be found here.

Through this traditional style of Mexican dance, Grupo Folklórico “Carisma Mexicana” aims to share the diverse, vibrant, and alluring culture of Mexico with San Benito County. Working specifically with young children, the organization emphasizes the importance of maintaining an appreciation and practice of cultural roots with new generations.
