San Benito County residents are mindful of giving where they live

The Community Foundation for San Benito County was established in 1992, and for the past two decades, we have been able to help hundreds of nonprofits, individuals, and community projects within San Benito County, as well as far beyond our borders, through the generosity of our donors. In the past 10 years, Donors have gifted more than $5 million in grant support to the people and places we call home and have helped build nonprofit endowment assets of over $1.75 million, an investment for lasting impact in our community.

Donors possess a powerful passion for giving, and we love our donors in San Benito County because they are mindful of giving where they live—not because of the amount that they give. Gifts from our donors, both small and large, support the work that the Community Foundation loves doing, and ensures that what matters to folks who live in San Benito County now, will last for many generations to come.

In 2015, donors made it possible for the Community Foundation to grant more than:

  • $37,000 in scholarships
  • $390,000 in community impact grants
  • $55,000 for women’s causes

This Valentine’s Day, we want to show appreciation for our donors. Use your Facebook profile (between Feb. 1-14) to tell all your friends why you love San Benito County, and be sure to tag the Community Foundation in your post.

In return, we’ll enter you in a random drawing for a free cup of coffee (when you purchase a cup for a friend) at Mars Hill Coffeehouse in Downtown Hollister. Enjoying a friendly conversation over a good cup of coffee, what could be better than that? The answer is nothing; well, except for the Community Foundation for San Benito County and our fabulous donors—a relationship that is “Good… For Ever!” Thank you for the invaluable support you have shown during the past twenty years.
