San Benito District’s scouting program offers stargazing through telescopes, nature hikes, group cookouts at overnight camping adventures, fishing trips, bowling, bike rides, picnics and other family-friendly fun. You can make new friends while learning leadership skills from an early age and earn awards and patches while being motivated to be a good steward for our city, county, state and nation.

All this and more is available for boys and girls of all ages through the San Benito District’s scouting program, which includes Cub Scouts for boys and girls in kindergarten through 5th grade and Scouts BSA for boys and girls in sixth grade through 18 years of age.

On Tuesday, April 16, our local scouting organization is holding a recruitment event for kids of all ages and their parents who might be interested in joining a local scouting pack or simply learning more information about the program. The event will be held at 6 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Building, 649 San Benito Street in Hollister.

Get “unplugged” and venture outdoors to enjoy a plethora of age-appropriate activities. Parents are always allowed, welcomed and strongly encouraged to come along and help with all activities.
