The McDonald's restaurant on San Felipe Road, in Hollister was being demolished this week, beginning what is expected to be a three- to four-month rebuilding process.
Demolition crews were on site taking down the building that opened in 1980 near the northern entrance to Hollister. The McDonald's on Airline Highway has been recently remodeled and will be open during the summer while the other franchise is being rebuilt.
The new, modernized restaurant on San Felipe will be a nearly 4,500-square-foot structure.
