

The Women’s Fund of the Community Foundation for San Benito County is pleased to announce available micro-loans for women owned businesses.
A micro lending team of eight dedicated and professional women has been working behind the scenes on a Micro-Loan Program for woman-owned businesses, and have come up with a short list of requirements:
- Loan amounts may range from $1,500 up to $5,000.
- Any home-based or store-front business in San Benito County that is 51 percent owned by a woman, and has been open for at least six months, is eligible.
- Loans are available for equipment, working capital, marketing needs, and inventory, and additional information is available by contacting Stephanie Hicks at the Community Foundation.
- The application deadline is Aug. 11, 2017.

Their teamwork has enabled this program to become a reality and an opportunity to empower women in San Benito County to create a lasting impact.
