More rain appears to be headed to San Benito County, with showers expected early this week.
According to the National Weather Service, there is a slight chance of rain from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8. Showers are likely to happen after 10 p.m. Tuesday night and could carry over into the morning of Wednesday, Jan. 9.
Rainfall is expected to lighten up by Thursday, Jan. 10, but could be back by the weekend with chances of showers from Friday, Jan. 11 through Sunday, Jan. 13.
Additionally, the National Weather Service has issued another Wind Advisory that is expected to be in effect from 7 a.m. Tuesday to 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
Southerly winds of 20 to 30 miles per hour (mph) with gusts of up to 45 mph along the coast and in higher elevations are expected, with local gusts up to 60 mph possible in the region’s ridges and peaks. Driving conditions could be affected by debris, downed trees or tree limbs, and isolated power outages are possible, according to a recent press release.
Areas affected by the wind advisory include East Bay Hills and the Diablo Range, Mountains of San Benito County and Interior Monterey County including Pinnacles National Park, San Francisco Peninsula Coast, Coastal North Bay including Point Reyes National Seashore, Santa Cruz Mountains, North Bay Mountains, Santa Lucia Mountains, and the Los Padres National Forest.
