Hollister Police Chief David Westrick this week announced that the Hollister Police Department is joining forces with the San Benito County Sheriff's FacebooOffice to bring the National Night Out event to the community.
"The SBC Sheriff's Office has done a remarkable job in maintaining this event over the years," Westrick said. "I'm happy that our agency is now in a position to help plan and put this event on." The event will be held in downtown Hollister on San Benito Street Aug. 5.
Westrick said he is seeking help from the community, both with sponsorships and manpower.
