You asked and we listened! Effective Sunday Jan. 6, 2019, the San Benito County Free Library will offer Sunday hours for the first time, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The library’s expansion in hours is in response to customer satisfaction surveys, which reflected community members’ desire for additional service hours, particularly on weekends. The increase in service hours has been made possible through increased staffing levels and new technology at the library.

"I would like to extend my gratitude to the San Benito County Board of Supervisors, our CAO, Ray Espinosa, the Friends of the Library, the business community, and nonprofit organizations that have supported the San Benito County Free Library," County Librarian Nora Conte said. "It is through their collaboration, partnership, and financial support that we will be able, for the first time in our Library’s history, to be open on Sundays with Library services available to the community.”

The San Benito County Free Library will celebrate the new addition of Sunday hours with light refreshments on Sunday, Jan. 6 at 2 p.m. and all community members are invited!
