President Obama continues to work on cutting the emissions of greenhouse gasses that pollute the environment and worsen global warming or climate change. His comprehensive energy plan includes incentivizing the production of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind turbine production as well as the increased production of domestically produced oil and natural gas.
The president’s agenda contradicts extremist, so-called environmentalist efforts to reduce domestic oil and natural gas production in the U.S. which would cause petroleum and natural gas prices to rise precipitously due to the loss of available supplies. President Obama is working to reduce American dependence on foreign produced oil imports while groups like the Center of Biological Diversity and San Benito Rising are working hard to increase American dependence on foreign produced oil by reducing domestic petroleum production.
