Chip Gauvreau and Dr. Jessica Gautney, advisors of the San Benito High School Outdoor Club, hosted their first clean-up of the 2014-2015 year on Sept. 27. Nineteen Outdoor Club members attended at the 9 a.m. clean-up, which started on main campus and the parking lot located by the football stadium.

From the hours of 9-11 a.m., the members and both club advisors gathered nearly 20 pounds of garbage.

After the clean-up Gauvreau asked the students what was the "weirdest" object they picked up. One one replied with a metal ninja star, while another stated they found a pocket knife. Gauvreau then stated, "See guys, garbage is deadly."
