Congressman Jimmy Panetta (D-Calif.), released the following statement after several people were shot this morning in Alexandria, Virginia at a baseball practice for this week’s charity Congressional baseball game:
“My thoughts and prayers are with my Republican colleagues and the Capitol police officers who were shot this morning while at practice for our charity baseball game. We stand together against this senseless attack.”
Panetta plays on the Democrat's team, and was at practice at a different facility Wednesday morning.
