Pinnacles National Park is seeking an enthusiastic individual between ages 18-25 for an American Conservation Experience Internship with the Habitat Restoration crew. The intern will serve as part of a crew conducting invasive plant eradication and habitat restoration efforts.

Learn key skills in ecology, botany and habitat restoration and explore backcountry areas of the park. Duties include invasive plant removal, native seed collection and propagation, collecting and maintaining monitoring data, and mapping using GPS and GIS.

This internship requires great attention to detail as well as being able to work as part of a team or independently. Candidates must be able to hike in steep terrain and navigate off-trail with a pack up to 40 pounds. Individuals must also be able to work safely in adverse weather conditions and during exposure to poison oak, ticks and rattlesnakes.

The work schedule will be 40 hours per week from February to July. The intern will receive a weekly stipend of $360 and be eligible for an Americorps Education Award. No housing available.
