Thinking about adopting a new furry friend? Be sure to attend the upcoming Pizza for Paws Fundraiser on Sunday, Aug. 26. Hosted by the local nonprofit, no-kill animal rescue group Pet Friends, the fundraiser is scheduled to take place from 2 p.m to 6 p.m in the Hacienda de Léal outdoor courtyard in San Juan Bautista.

Features include raffle prizes, a live auction, wood-fired pizza, a no-host bar, and a live DJ.

Additionally, a few adoptable pets will be present at the event with applications for adoptions readily available.

“It’s a fun get-together that benefits the animal shelter as donations are what we survive on,” said Pet Friends Office Manager Kathy.

As a nonprofit, Pet Friends relies on donations, volunteers, and fundraisers to continue rescuing and finding a home for cats and dogs. Tickets are $30 each and can be purchased online.
