Four residents — three adults and a juvenile — were arrested on various charges July 8 after Hollister Police used a search warrant to enter an apartment on South Street in relation to a recent burglary.
On June 26, police were called to investigate a burglary of an apartment in which several expensive electronic items were taken. The victim was able to provide what police called "crucial identifying information" that led officers to a possible suspect. A search warrant was written for an apartment located at 805 South Street. On July 8, officers from the San Benito County Probation Office, along with Hollister Police detectives and officers executed the search warrant.
When police arrived, several people inside the apartment attempted to flee but they were all detained. During the search, officers found items reportedly stolen from the recent burglary. Police say this is the same apartment that was searched in relation to a burglary at R.O. Hardin School several months ago.
Police arrested Shanda Lucero, 37, for possession of stolen property; Terry Carter, 38, was arrested for two local warrants for his arrest; Ashley Davila, 26, was arrested for several local warrants totalling $50,000 and a 14-year-old juvenile was arrested for probation violation and resisting arrest.
